Throughout my life experiences, and living in multiple states, I developed a huge passion for not letting a moment go by undocumented. I wanted to be able to revisit moments and memories that I would not otherwise go back to or recreate. Cue my first camera and being able to press play on my mind's eye.

I became extremely long winded in my writing and found myself trying to cram in all of the details that were so important to me. I learned how to capture this without all of the words using music and photographs. Every song and photo holds so much emotion and feeling frozen in time.

A photo album to me, is like a soundtrack or mixtape to a chapter in life. A series of stills from a movie to play back. After serving as a middle school teacher for seven years and having my two children, my perspective of time shifted and my desire to pause moments, maintain relationships, and hold people close grew far more important. I continue to grow relationships with students and play into my passion for education by offering photography mentorships and growing my senior spokesmodel program here in Southwest Virginia. Your one life is beautiful. It deserves to be relived and documented in a way that you can forever feel what it felt like to be in that chapter. I’m so glad our paths have crossed.
